Work package #2
Work Package Two considers the second puzzle piece needed to produce realistic scenarios of how unpaid work will be automated in practice: the acceptability of automation at home. In this work package, we design and carry out a survey experiment in the UK and Japan. In the survey, respondents will be asked to evaluate several scenarios and tell us whether they would use domestic automation or not under the specified circumstances. The scenarios will vary by cost of automation, type of task they can replace and time they will save as well as financial resources and time available to respondents.
