In Work Package One we carry out a structured online forecasting exercise, also known as Delphi method, to quantify experts’ expectations about the potential for and cost of automation.
Work Package Two considers the second puzzle piece needed to produce realistic scenarios of how unpaid work will be automated in practice: the acceptability of automation at home.
Work Package Three will put together the predictions from Work Package One and Two and create scores for the likelihood of automation of different domestic technologies for the UK and Japan.
In Work Package Four we will combine the likelihood of automation scores that were produced in Work Package Three with National Time Transfer Accounts (NTTA) data.
